Survey Is Closed and Results Will Be Posted Soon

The survey ended at 12:00 a.m. this morning and we are pleased that over 1300 people answered. Quick results are that the greatest number of responses were from employees who have been employed from 6-10 years; permanent; full-time members of ASK ESP. Most of you were NOT interested in looking at the PERS pickup, nor at paying more for health insurance in lieu of PERS.

A lot of responses included suggestions ranging from shutting the entire District down once a month to going to a four-day week to not taking any kind of compensation loss and accepting layoffs as a solution. Some employee groups were targeted more than others and then different responses said 'we're all in this together'. Some people expressed their displeasure with the Association's leadership and others thanked us. Some said 'I'll do anything I can to keep my job' and others said "Lay me off now.'

I'm sharing the wide range of responses with you so that you'll see what the Budget Crisis Team is up against. We will read through every single response and chart them. We will examine every result from the survey. We will take into consideration every comment/suggestion/idea/thought that is submitted to us.

And we know that no matter what 'solution(s)' are picked, not everyone is going to be happy.

Once again, I remind you that this is a hard time for ALL of us and that we will ALL feel the impact of any decision that is made. If you are interested in making changes in your future, then get involved. Be a voice for the members at your site.
